Nordost Heimdall 2 Power Cord 6.5ft/2m Power Cables

HEIMDALL 2 POWER CORD

Norse 2 Series power cords deliver a level of performance not previously possible at their price points. Nordost s proprietary Micro Mono-Filament construction creates a virtual air dielectric complete with an elegantly engineered suspension system. When combined with silver-plated OFC solid core conductors and FEP insulation throughout, the result is the ideal electrically and mechanically controlled construction for ultra-fast, low-impedance current and voltage transfer.

The complex topology of Micro Mono-Filament conductors is especially effective in dissipating mechanical energy present on the AC line, which otherwise enters your delicate electronics rendering dynamic responses sluggish and blurry. Consistency of design and materials across the entire Norse 2 Series means that you can easily create a clearly prioritized, no compromise system-wide cable solution, from wall socket to loudspeaker terminals, with each link in the chain specifically optimized for purpose, finally unleashing your equipment s full performance potential.

HEIMDALL 2

Nordost s Heimdall 2 cables are the first tier in the mid-range, Norse 2 family. Using the same core design as our entry-level products, Heimdall 2 cables maintain consistency with the Leif ranges. This continuity ensures similar sonic signatures between our cables, allowing for a seamless transfer as one upgrades throughout Nordost s lines.

In addition to the already impressive core design, Heimdall 2 cables use innovative techniques and technologies that were first seen in the acclaimed and much sought after Valhalla and Odin ranges. Advances such as Dual Mono-Filament technology and mechanically tuned lengths as well as specially designed, proprietary MoonGlo connectors all make appearances throughout the Heimdall 2 range. Just by taking the first step into the Norse 2 family you will notice significant differences in your sound. With the switch of even one cable you ll hear banal recordings transform into high fidelity performances.

Offering the most variety of any of our extensive product lines, Heimdall 2 cables run the gamut including power, speaker, interconnect, personal audio cables and more. Each cable in the Heimdall 2 range provides clarity, definition and detail to sound that is otherwise unheard of in this price range.

The Norse 2 family is the second tier in Nordost s product line, delivering the depth, precision, and nuance previously only found in live performances.

Norse 2 cables are constructed using silver-plated, OFC solid core conductors, extruded FEP insulation, and a mechanically tuned construction which, together, form the basis of Nordost s great sound. Norse 2 cables build upon those fundamental elements, employing even further technological advances, unlocking the full potential that hifi audio systems have to offer.

After thirty years of extensive research and development, Nordost has perfected a proprietary technique called Mono-Filament technology, which creates a virtual air dielectric by winding an FEP filament in a precise spiral around each individual conductor before extruding an outer FEP sleeve around it. By minimizing contact with the conductor, Mono-Filament technology increases signal transfer speeds while enhancing mechanical damping and geometrical precision.

Nordost has also taken a step beyond its original mechanically tuned construction and introduced mechanically tuned lengths, reducing internal microphony and high-frequency impedance resonance.
